- What is the surgeon's training with regard to the specific cosmetic surgery procedure you are considering?
- How many times has he/she performed the specific cosmetic procedure you are considering?
You also may want to include the following when discussing your options with your surgeon during your cosmetic procedure consultation:

Keep in mind that a cosmetic surgeons' original disciplines and certifications may be in dermatology, head and neck surgery, general surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, ocular plastic surgery, and a variety of other surgical disciplines.
