“Dr. Shumway takes a comprehensive approach to patient care. He first considers the physical and emotion well being of his patients. In my case, he gave me all the time I needed to talk about the facial condition that bothered me, and he listened to me very carefully. He was positive, honest, and reassuring about his treatment recommendation. Additionally, he explained in layman’s terms the processes my skin would undergo so that I could very well informed.
Upon arriving for my consultation with Dr. Shumway, I had decided that I would pay any price for most aggressive treatment out of sheer frustration. At that point I had spent over a thousand dollars on treatments that had be unsuccessful. Thankfully, Dr. Shumway, coming from a very professional and caring standpoint recommended a less expensive approach (chemical peel) that would produce the same results as the more expensive ones (laser treatment). It was very refreshing to meet a cosmetic physician who was less interested in profit and more interested in the economic well being of his patients.
I scheduled the procedure right after my consultation because at that point Dr. Shumway had gained my trust. I could see in his patient portfolios/testimonies that his work is artistic, precise and talented.
