| The Erbium, or Yag laser, offers much less penetration than the Ultrapulse CO2 laser, causes superficial tissue removal, and results in quicker healing times with less overall redness. The Erbium laser may also be used on the hands and neck to improve skin tone and correct laxity. |

| The Ultrapulse CO2 laser has been used as a skin resurfacing tool for about 10 years and is by far the best modality for removing wrinkles, sun spots, acne scars, and the effects of sun damage. This laser peel penetrates through several layers of the skin, stimulating new growth of collagen fibers and thereby providing a tightening effect. Patients tend to stay pink for the first 2-4 weeks, and continue to heal for the next 3 months. |
